Artisans of the future

“Be creative! Be artisans every day, artisans of the future!”

The greeting that Pope Francis reserved for the world of work on June 22, 2015, in Turin, is full of hope for those who, like us, live by craftsmanship and manufacturing.
In our artisanal workshop, these words resonate as an encouragement and accompany one of our recent works: a terracotta bust depicting the Holy Father.

The tribute we wished to dedicate to Pope Francis was modeled by hand, with the aid of modeling tools and wire loops, to define the details with meticulous care: the smiling face, the gentle and attentive gaze, and the hand in a sign of blessing.

First, the research of photographs to capture the most representative expression of Pope Francis and the drawing; then a clay sketch and the subsequent firing in the kiln: for this work as well, the technique and artisanal care are the same that we dedicate to Vicenza stone.
The bust can be crafted in stone, marble, or bronze; recently, for example, a bronze casting was exhibited at a Vicenza trade fair by a client who appreciated its finishes and originality.
